Pie VAT is free to download, but fees apply when you use our Tax Free refund service.
Tax Free service fee
For Tax Free purchases in Europe, Pie charges a service fee of up to 8% of the total purchase amount, including VAT.
The fee covers the cost of providing and processing the Tax Free service, including applicable transaction and foreign exchange costs.
How can I see how much I'll receive?
You don't need to calculate your refund yourself.
When completing your Tax Free claim, you can see your expected refund amount in the Pie VAT app, so you know how much you're expected to receive.
The final amount may vary slightly if currency conversion is required, as exchange rates can change between the date of purchase and the date your refund is paid.
Are there fees when I withdraw my refund?
Additional fees may apply when transferring your refund from your Pie Wallet to your chosen withdrawal method.
According to the current fee structure, transfer fees generally range from 4.5% to 8.5% of the outgoing transfer, depending on the transfer method and provider.
Your bank or card issuer may also charge its own currency conversion or receiving fees. These charges are set by your financial institution and are separate from Pie's fees.
