If the Pie VAT app asks you to have your purchase physically verified, this is part of the Tax Free process in Norway.
Norwegian Tax Free regulations require goods to be physically inspected as part of the validation process. The purpose of the check is to confirm that the goods you are claiming a VAT refund for match your Tax Free purchase.
During the verification, you’ll be asked to show the goods you purchased and your original receipt. You may also be asked to show your travel documents so your departure from Norway can be confirmed.

The steps you need to complete depend on where you are leaving Norway. If physical verification is required for your journey, the Pie VAT app will let you know and guide you through what to do next.
