If you're leaving the European Union from a Spanish seaport, you'll need to complete DIVA validation before boarding your ferry or cruise.
Finding the DIVA validation point
Follow signs for DIVA or ask port staff to direct you to the nearest DIVA validation point. Depending on the port, validation may be provided through:
A DIVA kiosk
The Customs office
The Fiscal Guard
The available service varies by port.
Arrive early
Some ports only provide DIVA validation:
When passengers present for boarding
Within a few hours before departure
During cruise ship arrivals
During Customs office hours
Arrive early to allow enough time to complete validation before boarding.
If you can't find a DIVA kiosk
Visit the Customs office or speak to the Fiscal Guard. They can direct you to the appropriate validation point before you leave the EU.
